Coffee Cup Cozy

Here's a coffee cup cozy to use in lieu of those wasteful cardboard ones you get at Starbucks and other coffee shops. I'll post new pictures if I get a cup to model it on.

Wrist Cuff!

I love wrist cuffs and I wear a leather one that I bought in Spain almost every day, so I decided to sew a fabric one with a snap closure. I made it out of a scrap piece of linen fabric that I had leftover from one of my favorite prints and I sewed a strip of flannel on the inside for support. The inside of the cuff is a tan wavy-stripe fabric leftover from a the liner fabric of a pouch I made.

::oh snap::

Last night I made the first pouch in my ::oh snap:: series (of course I had to make something after yesterday's purchases). It's a little lipstick pouch in a simple black cotton with a tan design on the front, matching tan lining, and a black pearl snap closure.

Shopping Day

Big day at the fabric store today! I bought fabric (of course) and snaps and scissors and presser feet and interfacing and all kinds of good stuff. Now I have to find the time to sew!

New Style Pouch

Here's a new 5" x 3.5" pouch I made today. I have some tweaking to do on the construction but I think it turned out pretty cute. It's sewn in a quilting style but instead of using quilt batting for the middle liner, I used flannel.

Zippers

I just ordered a bunch (so many that I'm kind of embarrassed to say) of ZIPPERS so I can make lots more bags! My friend Marissa and I are talking about getting a booth at the Virginia Highlands Market towards the end of summer. She'll hawk her awesome paintings and I'll try to sell (or trade) a purse or two. Should be a great time!!
